About This Project

This home felt extremely out dated and in need of some care. With many unique issues, including an old indoor pool with a temporary fix, the homeowner requested some creative solutions.

The existing dated, cramped kitchen begged for more space and a link to the other rooms. The quest for an open concept was made possible with an engineered steel beam, flush in the ceiling, replacing the existing bearing exterior wall. Bright new cabinetry and a rich, dark countertop continue the modern appearance of this newly renovated home. An island is introduced to provide plenty of countertop space and new sleek appliances complete the look of this desired kitchen.

The new textured crystal stacked stone fireplace wall provides the room with a modern rustic feeling. The existing wood stove was replaced with a built-in contemporary fireplace to warm the new grand area. Built-in shelving and a mounted T.V. balance the look of this new feature wall. Through some structural work, creative framing and a grand vision, this Old South space was made new. From cramped and dated to spacious and modern, this once dreary home is now one to be envious of.
